Finally

Okay so finally back to this thing. I feel so bad for not updating this blog for 3 months! Man, I'm slacking. There's so much that happened since my last blog it's not even funny so I just better get started.

So leaving Draftfcb was a pretty hard thing to do. It was a fantastic experience and I learned so much from just being there for 6 months. But all in all I think it was a good time to go. I mean, I was only working on one client, Gevalia, and working with the same people. They were great by the way, but looking at the big picture, I think it would have been limited by the confines of one client, one kind of advertising (direct marketing), and one group of people.

So on to Deutsch...man, what a difference! At first, I was a little apprehensive on how they would perceive me. Would I be an intern to them, extra help, or just "that guy" in the cubicle who no one knew what he did....okay so a first couple of weeks, I was BUT now, oh man. I have been working my butt off and it's been very satisfying. I've had my ups and downs with the projects sometimes. Not really like I felt I couldn't do it but more like I don't have enough time to do it. The big difference between Draftfcb and Deutsch is the REALLY REALLY fast turn around time. I think I had about 2 weeks in total to concept, comp, and present to account team at Draftfcb but at Deutsch, I'm lucky if I have a week. Now it's not every project but it's most and it's teaching me to hustle hustle hustle. I don't really doddle or anything any way but there is definitely little time to kick back my feet and really explore anything too much. It's have an idea and then go.

So with that being said here is a I've worked on some pretty nice clients. Definitely more than one and definitely not coffee. Instead of telling you, here are some examples. And remember, this is not all my ideas. I just worked on them (ie. layout, colors, illustration, etc....you know art direction stuff).

By the way, the one with the cups went to Cannes. Cross your fingers!
